Whereas in the third and fourth cantos, the Ramayana, the composition of the Ramayana and the Luv-Kush episode are described. Apart from this, details of Dasaratha's sacrifice, birth of sons (Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna), learning of Rama and Lakshmana, demon-slaying, Sita marriage etc. are also given in detail.
Dasaratha's Yagya and the Birth of Lord Rama - Ramayana Story
In the epic Ramayana composed by Maharishi Valmiki, Dasharatha was the Raghuvanshi king of Ayodhya and Maryada Purushottam was the father of Rama. In the Ramayana, King Dasharatha is depicted as an ideal Maharaja, a father who loves sons very much and is completely devoted to his words and fulfills his duties.
Let us tell you that Ayodhya king Dasharatha had three wives - the names of his wives were Kaushalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra. At the same time, King Dasharatha did not have any children for a long time, due to which he used to be very worried about taking over the responsibility of his clan.
For the growth of his Suryavanshi, King Dasharatha obeyed the advice of his family guru Rishi Vashishtha and for this he got the Ashwamedha Yagya and Putrakameshti Yagya done. Seeing this Putrakameshti sacrifice, a supernatural yagna man was born from the altar and asked King Dasharatha to feed his wives by giving prasad in a golden vessel.
After which King Dasharatha fed this prasad to his three wives. After this, King Dasharatha was blessed with four sons. In which he was born to Lord Sri Rama from his first wife Kaushalya, Bharata to Kaikeyi and Lakshmana and Shatrughna to Sumitra.
The four sons of King Dasharatha were full of divine powers and were successful. All four of them were raised like princes, and they were given full knowledge of the scriptures, along with they were also taught the art of warfare.
Ram-Lakshman's Vidya
Both Lord Rama and Lakshmana were of supernatural talent since childhood. This is the reason why when Shri Ram was only 16 years old, sage Vishwamitra told King Dasharatha about the terror of the demons causing disturbance in his yagya and for this he asked Rama and Lakshmana to take him to the ashram.
After which Rama and Lakshmana destroy that demon with their skill. Seeing this, the mind of sage Vishwamitra becomes happy.
After this he taught divine scriptures to Lord Rama and Lakshmana and also made them proficient in the art of warfare. After which Lord Rama and Lakshman destroyed many demons and Lord Rama also ended the great sinner Ravana.
Mother- Sita's birth and her wonderful self
Valmiki ji has given a wonderful description of the birth of Mata Sita ji and her wonderful self in Balkand. Mother Sita was the daughter of King Janak, who was the king of Mithila. She was also longing for child happiness for a long time, because she did not get any child for a long time.
At the same time, while he was plowing, he found a very beautiful girl wrapped in clay in a nugget of gold from the earth. Then King Janak was very pleased and took her as his daughter and brought him to his house. And then King Janak named her Sita.
In this way the earth was born from Maya and she is also known as Bhumija. King Janak had great affection for his daughter Sita. Mother-Sita is also considered to be an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi. Let us tell you that Mother Sita was full of all virtues and unparalleled beauty.
Once Mata Sita had lifted the bow of Lord Shiva kept in the temple, which was raised by none other than Lord Parashurama, only then King Janak had decided that he should marry his daughter, to someone worthy like his daughter. Will get it done by a man, who will pick up this bow of Lord Vishnu and offer a string to it.
At the same time, when Mother Sita became eligible for marriage, then King-Janak decided to hold a swayamvara to find a divine man for his all-qualified daughter, and then King Janak invited the kings of many states for Sita's swayamvara.
In the swayamvara, King Janak placed a condition on the one who lifts the bow of Shiva and the one who wanted it to marry his beloved daughter Sita. At the same time, the discussion of Sita's virtues and beauty had already spread all around. After hearing the news of Sita's swayamvar, great kings started coming to participate in Sita's swayamvar.
Sage Vishwamitra along with Rama and Lakshmana had reached Mithila, the city of King Janak, to see Sita Swayamvar. Along with this, the majestic Ravana had also come to take part in the swayamvara for wanting to marry Sita.
In this way, great kings participated in Mata-Sita's swayamvara, but when it came time to lift the bow, many kings could not even shake it.
Seeing all this, King Janak was very worried and started thinking that no king is worthy of his daughter, so his daughter will remain unmarried, but then sage Vishwamitra asked his disciple Lord Rama to lift the bow to remove the worry of King Janak. speak for.
After which Lord Rama, following the orders of his Guru, easily lifts that bow in one stroke and as soon as he bends the bow to offer the thread, it breaks and falls into two halves.
In this way Mother Sita gets a boon in the form of Lord Rama and King Janak's search for a divine man ends. And then seeing this, flowers rain all around.
Marriage of Lord Rama and Mother Sita
After swayamvar, according to the condition, King Janak decided to marry his daughter Sita to Lord Rama and with this he decided to get his three daughters married to the sons of King Dasharatha.
In this way, on the day of Vivah Panchami, Mother Sita was married to Lord Rama, Urmila was married to Lakshmana, Madhavi was married to Bharat and Shutkirti was married to Shatrughan. After this the four daughters of King Janak enter Ayodhya.
In this way Lord Rama and Mother Sita get tied in the bond of marriage to each other. But once after marriage when Mother Sita was sad and Lord Rama asked the reason for her concern.
Then Sita ji said to Lord Rama that you are a prince and a prince has many wives, you will also have and then you will forget me, then Lord Rama promised Mother Sita that he would never marry again.
He will spend the rest of his life with his wife Sita. Sita is shocked to hear this. At the same time, Shri Ram keeps this promise for life. And thus in the Balkand of this epic, Lord Rama and Goddess Sita create a new history of dignity and make the entire human race realize the religion of husband and wife through their lives.
